CR Field Not Found: name

% of citizens responding very good/good quality of - Recreational trails
  • This is an annual metric and is displaying 2019 data.  The survey was not done in 2020, so that year has been removed from the chart.
  • In 2019 the target of 85% of citizens responding to very good/good quality recreational trails was met.  The quality of Fort Collins recreational trails also rated higher than the National average or the Front Range average for other communities in northern Colorado.

Miles of Trail/10,000 Population

This is an annual measure.  The target of 2.5 miles of hard surface trail per 10,000 population was met in 2020.  The completion of the Poudre Trail spur connecting Lincoln Middle School to the Poudre Trail contributed to meeting this measure.  With the need to divert Conservation Trust lottery proceeds to parks maintenance during the pandemic trail construction will be slowed in 2021 and 2022.  It will be more difficult to meet this metric in the next few years.

Trained Observer Program – Percentage Of Trail Ratings With No Problems

  • This measure is tracked for two quarters annually during the growing season.
  • The average rating fell below the 85% target of "No Problems".  The trail surfacing continues to be a issue with limited resources for trail repairs.  There is currently no funding available for on-going asset replacement of the trail system.
