The Mulberry Water Reclamation Facility failed Whole Effluent Toxicity Testing (WET) for QTR 2 2021. CDPHE has been notified and follow up action is taking place.
Drinking Water Compliance Rate (% Days)
This is a measure of the Water Treatment facility's compliance with all State and Federal drinking water regulations. Despite the annual Spring Runoff and the effects of the Cameron Peak Fire, the facility has met and exceeded all regulations. In fact, the water won 2nd place in the AWWA's water taste test for North America.
Number of New Recorded Environmental Compliance Violations
Water Reclamation and Biosolids expects that they will have a permit violation at MWRF for Whole Effluent Toxicity (WET) testing in 2nd quarter. Staff have notified the state and have started the required accelerated testing. Note: Second quarter Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs) do not get reported until end of July.
Number of New Identified Deficiencies Requiring Corrective Action
The Water Reclamation and Biosolids program received a third-party audit in the 2nd quarter of 2021. The audit resulted in 2 Opportunity for Improvement (OFIs) findings.
