Cumulative Lane Miles of Roadway Pavement Improved
  • Yearly lane-mile goals have been reset in 2025 to reflect those needed to restore the PCI level-of-service to the management target of 75.
  • Annual goal allows us to meet our overall street pavement condition Level of Service (LOS) 'B' (Good).
  • Return Cycle duration is a function of the quality of the installation, materials, and interim maintenance.   Average return on municipal surface seals and overlays is, 10 and 15 years, respectively.
  • Purpose of this metric is to track the amount of pavement, in lane miles, resurfaced each quarter toward a yearly goal.
  • Proper maintenance increases the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) by extending the life of the existing pavements without expensive /time consuming reconstruction.  This maximizes past investments.
  • Quarterly targets are set to provide information on our progress towards meeting our yearly resurfacing goals. These targets vary from quarter to quarter due to weather limitations of construction and programming needs.
