Winter Point in Time Count of Homeless Population

  • This is an annual metric.
  • The 2021 Point in Time (PIT) Count was conducted on February 22, 2021.
  • Though the count was across the entire Continuum of Care (Larimer and Weld Counties), the numbers here reflect only sheltered homelessness in Larimer County.
  • An unsheltered homelessness count was not conducted this year.
  • 100% of those counted in Larimer County were in emergency shelter (rather than transitional housing), and the majority of the 348 counted were men (64%), between the ages of 25-54 (56%), non-Hispanic (78%), and white (77%).

Rebate Program Participation

Due to the pandemic, the program was done all by mail and drop box. Marketing outreach was also negatively impacted by the pandemic. Given the challenges this year, our team was happy to see a relatively consistent level of applications.  We did see more incomplete and denied applications this year which can attribute to the challenges due to COVID.
