Number of Citywide Volunteers
- This is an annual metric.
- In 2025, we saw a decrease in the number of active volunteers. This number is the result of data clean-up and a slight decrease in the number of volunteers participating in one-day projects.
- Due to budget cuts, we also saw a decrease in the number of volunteer events offered.
- Data shows that more hours are being donated by few individuals. While we saw a decrease in large, one-day projects, we saw an increase in on-going volunteer participation.
Number of Citywide Volunteer Hours
- This is an annual metric.
- This metric denotes volunteer hours for the City of Fort Collins, not community-wide metrics.
- In 2025, we saw an increase in volunteer hours, increasing by 5.1%
- The Parks department, Sports and the Gardens on Spring Creek lead the way in volunteer hours. The City continues to innovate ways to engage the community in volunteer events.
