  • In the first quarter of 2026, Natural Areas volunteers and staff reached 2,434 participants at 67 activities, exceeding the goal of reaching 1,328 people by 1,106 participants.  
  • Some unique and highly attended activities included Eagle Watch at Fossil Creek Reservoir Natural Area with 40 individual activities and 1,047 participants, Winter Bike to Work Day, and Skygazing.  
  • The Natural Areas Department continues to reach diverse audiences with a variety of engaging opportunities.
