Trained Observer Program – Percentage of Parks and Rec Fac Grounds Ratings With No Problems

This is a quarterly metric, reporting only in the growing seasons of Q2 and Q3.

This metric has been yellow for both reporting windows in 2024, with both Parks and Recreation facility grounds falling short of the 85% target. Primary concerns included weeds in shrub areas and heaving and cracks in walkways.

Natural Areas Programs - Cumulative Participation per Capita

This is a Quarterly metric

  • In the fourth quarter of 2024, Natural Areas volunteers and staff reached 2,663 participants at 58 activities.  This is more than double the goal of reaching 1,325 community members.  
  • Some unique and highly attended activities included Irish Elementary Fiesta de Forma and other activities celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, a booth at the Teen Self Care Fair, National Public Lands Day stewardship event, and a variety of school field trips for Poudre School District K-12.  
  • The Natural Areas Department continues to reach diverse audiences with a variety of engaging opportunities.
